David Lynch is one of my favorite artists and I love the music of Angelo Badalamenti. So I bought the second season of Twin Peaks yesterday and started watching it last night. It brings back happy memories. I first watched it in London when I was studying there in the winter of 1990-1991. Every Tuesday night I would go to a friend of mine who lived next door and watch Twin Peaks with her and her husband.

It was at this time that I got to know Björk. She was then making her first solo album and stayed with me in my flat for a few weeks. It had two bedrooms, I slept in one of them and had a baby grand piano in the other. Both bedrooms were very small so when Björk stayed with me she slept under the piano.

I understand that the location of Twin Peaks is not far from Seattle…

If you’re still in the area & have some time you can visit one of the towns near Seattle where they filmed parts of Twin Peaks. I did it a number of years ago. I don’t remember the name of the town but I’m sure it couldn’t be too hard to find. If I remember correctly, some of the places there include the diner where they were always ordering coffee & pie plus a huge mansion-like buidling that was used as one of the lodges.

everything David Lynch does is amazing, even his short films, like this one (which premiered at Cannes last week):

    the town is Snoqualmie.

TWIN PEAKS was a huge influence on me too, in life, art, music & spirit.
there are so many worlds co-existing & overlapping with ours that we have no inkling of.

Badalamenti recently posted to his blog that there is going to be a new edition of the TWIN PEAKS soundtrack, with lots of music that never made it to the orginal release…including that gorgeous song that Madde, Donna & James sing!!!

    “just you….& i….just you….& i….”

I should probably comment about Twin Peaks, but seeing as I’ve never watched the show then I’ll say, “I should watch this so I know more about you’re referring to.”

It’s the history of the most fascinating people of my world that captures my attention. How many people would know you allowed Bjork to sleep in one of your rooms UNDER A PIANO!!?? Y’all are crazy, but only in the way that makes me love you guys!!!

hi there jónas…i don´t know if you are still in Seattle but you should try the Seattle Public Library building!. I am an architect myself and i wish i will be able to visit that amazing piece of architecture. I think it is one of the most daring elements of architecture of our times…none other building in the states represent the state of the art-chitecture as this one does!. and yeah… I would love to have the Frasier complete seasons in DVD but as you said in your post there´s no point if you seen them all! my gosh that Martin and my grandfather are the same person..hehe… Oh! i just hope you´ll be lucky enough and have the chance next to Björk to visit south america and Argentina!!… Cheers…

yes, orginally i did not know what to say, never hearing of twin peaks until now. I do not watch TV but for the 1st time in a long long time i can say that i wish i did so that i could know of what you are talking about… Altough I have herd of David Lynch… Director maybe, dosent he do horror films? I am not really big on visual arts, unless its purporse is to enhanch the musical expearence, where in the movies music is provided to enhance the visual expearence… have you ever watched a horror film with out the sound on?… its not scary any more is it! (i love soundtracks BTW, like angels of the universe, or screaming masterpeices!!! altough i still have yet to watch either film… :( )

Twin Peaks was a great show “New York is a state of mind” I will give a half a pence to anyone who can tell me which episode that is from ; ) My favorite though was when the ?old lady? was gliding off cliffs in a sorta magical riding on the wind way.

    Saquatch!!!!

We are going early, so I hope I can save enough energy for you guys playing, at 11pm!!

Everybody bring water, though it can suddenly rain, or even hail, as I believe it did last year. It tends to be very dry and hot this time of year!
