I read in the newspaper today (Morgunblaðið) that during the recording of the Jools Holland show Paul McCartney borrowed the trumpet of one of the brass girls, Valdís Þorkelsdóttir, and played a few tunes on it.
Apart from that, nothing much is happening… I have been resting in Iceland - I have been quite tired as a matter of fact. Today I leave for Paris with my daughter and will stay there for a week.
I hear that Toumani Diabate will play with us in Glastonbury. Consequently I have to learn a new song, Hope. Should be fun, it is one of my favorite Volta songs.

It’s one of my favourite songs off “Volta” too. I hope that Björk will play it in Amsterdam as well!

hope is like music of gipsy kings, so great.
I wonder if bjork’s crew have plans to come Southamerica on this wonderful volta tour. I can’t die without have seen bjork performing live and not only on tv or dvd or youtube. many fans in “latinoamerica” want to live that experience!

I would “hope” it’s a good one off of Volta… that, or I am just being too “juvenile” by making silly guesses.

I was pretty sure, she would play Volta’s most controversial song only outside the USA. Hope has the catchiest melody of all Volta songs, but the lyrics are at least a bit “forced”.
