Today was our last day in London. We had a recording session at the Olympic Studio where we recorded the concert versions of a few songs so they can be played on the radio. Among them was My Juvenile which we haven’t performed in public so far. Also Vertebrae By Vertebrae.

Tomorrow we leave for Brussels. I’m already looking forward to have some Belgian chocolate!

Here is another photo that I took from the stage in Glastonbury:

Belgium is the most awesome place: chocolate, chips and beer!
What was the setlist for this concert?

Oh! That sounds marvelous! I can’t wait to hear them!

And yes, their chocolate is soo delicious! But I think I would become a chocoholic person there…

Enjoy your stay in Belgium’s most beautiful city ;)

Some chocolate tips: Neuhaus is quite expensive, but divine. Leonidas is more or less for tourists (and not so good). The best solution is to just go to a supermarket (Delhaize, GB, Carrefour, …) and stock up on all they have.. The best chocolate brand is Jacques-Callebaut :)

Enjoy the endless flavours we have. They sure as hell beat Icelandic Síríús ;)

    Hey Jonas!

I know it would seem odd, but it would be fun to meet you and the brass girls in Brussel. I live there. I could show you where to buy the best belgian home-made chocolate (please don’t buy it at the Grand Place where all the tourists goes!). And drink belgian beer (the best in the world). There’s a place where you can eat the best french fries in the world, you have to try it!!! And then, have a party at the “Archiduc” pub!

    Just email me: clementthirion@hotmail.com

Hope you’ll have a great time here. Belgian audience is known for it’s quality of receiving shows. Have great fun on stage!

    Sincerely yours

Does that mean you’ll be performing vertebrae by vertebrae and my juvenile LIVE?? I’ve been wondering if we’ll get to hear those… how exciting !

Thoughts of a live DVD for Volta makes me happy!!! Especially with the variety of songs being performed…it just might top ‘Vespertine’ Live at Royal Opera House.

  14. Toccata says:

I just sooooo hope, you play Vertetbrae by Vertebrae! Just once, please!

  15. mada says:

Mmm. A “Volta Live” CD would be quite appetizing. I just wonder if there are, perhaps, any b-sides that we haven’t heard of…? Anyway. I imagine at this point, with all the new version of songs performed, that it would be quite difficult to pick, choose, and compile.

Heh heh, I was “hope”-ing that you would perform “My Juvenile” soon enough. Just thinking about new additions to the setlist has me “up on the toes.” Yes, I am that corny.
