When we were exiting the stage after performing Pluto, on the City Limits Festival in Austin last night, two security guards came running towards us, yelling: “Get away, get away!”
It turned out that we had set one of the speakers on fire!
This didn’t deter us from playing the two encores, Oceania and Declare Your Independence. Björk announced to the audience what had happened, and then added: “But we don’t care, do we?!”
The audience screamed.
Maybe this means we are getting better and better. First the harpsichord went up in smokes, and now one of the speakers.
I think it was a great concert.

Were you wearing makeup like the Wonderbrass last night? It looked like it from where I was standing, but on the large screens I couldn’t tell. Perhaps it was just the lighting/shadows?

You’re rocking so hard that you’re literally burning down the house! Hope no one get hurt but lots more fun ensues on the tour and not to much damage!

Great show Jónas!! I was in the front and yelled your name– don’t know if you heard me tho!
I saw you taking pictures of the band and the audience up there! Are you going to post those? (I was the one in the audience with my arms up ^_^ )
Did you guys get a chance to party it up on 6th street??

Was it due to the flames used for “Earth Intruders” ?
I remember Bjork used fireworks and fire systems for the Greatest Hits WorldTour back in 2003, that never happened.
Cheers,
Romain.

I have to ask: How do you set a Harpsichord on fire?
