I was ecstatic after our show in Madison Square Garden last night. Everyone seemed on form, and even though it was an immensely large audience, I didn’t really feel nervous.
Min Xiao-Fen played the Pipa on “I See Who You Are” and Antony Hegarty joined Björk on stage for “Dull Flame Of Desire”. They were both brilliant.
Björk and me perfomed Cover Me. It was fun!
Desired Constellation with Damian on the ReacTable sounded gorgeous, and in general, Björk was really powerful.
I have a couple of family members visiting me here in New York and I’m just taking it easy. I’m very tired, but I did go to a costume shop today with Númi and his brother. Apparently there is a costume party after Conan O’Brian, but I don’t know the details yet. Hopefully I will be able to post a few pictures from the party later!
For now here is one that I took on stage yesterday:

It sounds nice, have you decided what costume you will have? I look forward to see the pictures.

Brilliant, brilliant show. It was my first Bjork concert and I had such a great time. Thank you for putting on such a great show! It looked like you all had a lot of fun up there, especially during “Declare Independence”!

I was so glad you all performed Desired Constellation, Unravel, and Hunter. Those were the three that I’ve aspired to see for the longest time. This show was simply amazing… dig the new hats and Bjork’s bludgeon-thing. I made sure to do your Oceania dance at the end of that song. I must say that it’s quite fun to do.
Thank yoooo-oooo-oooo for stopping by New York again!

fantastic show, Jonas!! One of my favorite experiences of any sort anywhere! Cover Me was a huge highlight. There was a great sense of frivolity among you guys at this show. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in NYC.

It was an amazing show, and you did amazing!!! Actually you all did amazing! btw, here’s a copy for you and all the fans that read this… http://www.nyctaper.com/?p=58 If you look back there’s also Radio City Music Hall from May, but the MSG show is amazingly well recorded
I don’t know if you’ll know how to play flac though… Maybe you could pass the word onto Bjork that we have recording of lots of her shows (20 from this tour so far) and are always craving more!

I was in the front and have some paper streamers as a keepsake. Cover Me was delightfully done Jonas! It was interesting to see both Radio City and last night at Madison Square Garden, how much more was added to the show. It was like a dream brought to real life. Thanks so much to all of you for the experience of a lifetime. With all going on in the world, it truly shows why we’re all here on this planet. To dance, sing, and smile.

I woke up at 9 a.m this morning. There were already four reviews on the MSG show! People are really noticing the enhancements!

I wonder if there will be any live DVD recordings of her tour, and if so which location will they film?? Sounds like this show as MSG was extraordinary!!

Hey: the whole show left me floating on a cloud, i was so happy I was talking to everyone I could find. I think I talked to Numi. He does the food, right? Oh… did he in fact give… um… my gracious gift… to the right person?
I won’t repeat myself in saying how utterly beautiful “Cover Me” was, but I guess I just did. Oh, and there’s an awesome, seemingly infinite costume shop on Broadway, down the street from the Strand bookstore, a block away, downtownwards. I can’t remember the name offhand, but it is huge. Or is that where you went? I used to work at the Strand until recently, now I have my dream-job working at the Virgin Megastore. In Times Square. I was totally wearing my Bjork tour t-shirt under my work shirt Tuesday. Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue was there yesterday. What a surreal week this is!

I read in an article that Bjork decides on the setlist only an hour or so before each show after surveying the locale. Are there other factors that determine why you would sometimes not open with Brennið Þið Vitar? I know at the V Festival, maybe the stage was too narrow or the entrance was too close to the microphones and keyboard.

Yes, that’s the shop I went to! Sorry for not being able to come to the Virgin, I have family members visiting and I’m just too busy!!!
September 27th, 2007 at 7:34 am
Hey, no problem. Maybe the next time you’re in NYC.
I know what it’s like to be busy. I’ve been trying to organize a unique little “orchestra” of musicians, write two novels, a non-fiction book, design a set of tarot cards, make a concept techno album, and work at Virgin… and attend Bjork concerts, of course!
But that costume shop is HUGE. I was surprised how BIG it is. And the variety of things that they have… but I have to ask - what’s your costume? Don’t tell me if it will ruin a surprise, though… but do tell us!

It seems that the last concerts have been amazing! wow! Good for you and for the audience! It’s great to know everyone is having a great time…
Jonas, I’ve got a question I hope you can asnwer me… it’s only that i just saw these pictures from the concert in Atlanta:
http://www.bjork.com/facts/gigography/images/00290/Krista_3.jpg
http://www.bjork.com/facts/gigography/images/00290/Krista_5.jpg
…and it’s amazing how near to the stage are the people! It’s great, but I was surprised!
In Amsterdam we had a couple of meters distance between the first row and the stage, and we also had some security guys in front of us…
Don’t you have that at every concert?
Is the diference in the fact that in Amsterdam it was without seats.. Maybe in Atlanta the people had a own seat (and they respect their place and the place of the other people)?
I’m not scared for Björk during the concert in Chile, the fans looove and respect her, nobody will be so stupid to ruin the night trying to get to the stage (i think!)… but I’m scared about me!
I hope you (or better: the people who organized everything there) will have security guys to avoid that the people (too young people most of them… 18 years old…) get crazy and try to go to the front not caring about anything…
It’s not that it will happen for sure… but it may… I wouldn’t be surprised at all. :-/
I hope you’ll have fun in this free month now, and then in october…. go and enjoy South America!
We are waiting for you all (since soooo loooong!)…

I watched Conan last night! It was a nice treat to see you guys perform right before you go vacation! Thankyou so much for everything!
