To go to a Björk concert was a dream, is a dream, since 1998, when I first listened to Björk (through Homogenic). To be short, my heart was broken the next 2 following months after she came to Brazil. But I just could not spend R$200,00 + airplane + hotel. I feeel trully sad when I realize that culture is not for everyone. You don't grasp it, you don't hear it, you don't feel it, unless you pay for it. I cried for several days (hey man, I'm 23 and don't cry just for anything!), felt really sad and just stopped listening to Björk after I realized that I would not be able to go to her gig. Today is the first day that I can reopen my heart and say something about the past months. For many, it was just a gig.For me, it was a concert of the one singer who truly changed my life, my way of thinking and my musicality. She opened my heart, my mind and my ears. Now I can feel music, see it, smell it! I can undestand all the layers! Because of her. And then she comes to a city that's reallly close to here (Belo Horizonte is about 600Km far from São Paulo and about 400Km far from Rio). Culture made me happy but it also broke my heart. Hope you guys don't think I am just a silly guy. I am not. The trauma is fading away but the memories will stay with me until I manage to go to a Björk concert. I could not go to the concert.
