I just saw the first review of our concert tonight. It is quoted in the Live & Media section of the 4um of www.bjork.com. I totally agree with the following, which is brilliantly put:

“Apparently Bjork was booed by Rage Against the Machine fans when she appeared on the same bill as the American rockers at the Gold Coast leg of the Big Day Out on Sunday. Perhaps they thought she wasn’t political enough. They’ve got it all wrong, of course. Rage are pantomime anarchists - Bjork is the revolution.”

Maybe she was booed to have attacked a journalist ;)

I’m joking Bjork, you know I love you.

Anyway, I’m back. Tell me Jonas, you stayed 4-5 days in N.Zealand : have you enjoyed with the band a Rugby match with the All Blacks ?

As for Australia, don’t forget to go to see Ayer’s Rock : I loved it !

Being both a big Rage fan and Björk fan I have to say the crowd at rage concerts is mostly pumped up dudes who just want to demolish people in the pit. That being said Björk is wonderful just because she goes all over the emotional map which is the mark of a mature artist and some people just have their so called ‘groove box’ and don’t want to branch out. Quite sad really.

Lovely to have Jonas back on the blog.

Here is the review in Sydney Morning Herald:

    Forward with the revolution

i found it unfortunate that the Rage fans were that stuck up to not just enjoy other kinds of music. we all have our own taste, but jeez, give the woman some respect, she really is the revolution!

    “They have sass,
    They have grace,
    They have style,
    but Bjork kicks ass”.

Thanks for such a magical night!

I’m such a mac head and texting with my iPhone to my mates saying - “So many macs on stage” ;-)

You all smashed it - so much fun. I kept commenting to my girlfriend (she’s a techie too) about all the cool control surfaces that were shown. That table surface at the end of declare independence with all those “markers” set on it - OMG wow! + fireworks and such a cool setting in general at the opera house.

xoxoxo from Sydney - come back soon - because last night I will remember for the rest of my life!

    Thanks again!!

Hello, I was in the audience for the show at The Opera House lastnight and it was truly magical. Clear night, big moon, neither hot or cold and the water was calm.
There was a perfect amount of people in the audience so everyone was relaxed and happy.
Definitely one of the best live shows I have experienced. Well chosen set list too!
    Loved every minute.

RATM broke up years ago to make a ton of top 40 radio hits for teeny boppers with a grunge singer who cut off all his hair, just like Metallica.

brilliantly put indeed! and what are they raging against at BDO anyway!?

i was at Auckland and was real far back which was heartbreaking cause all the ragers filled the mosh pit to capacity before we all got a chance to get in.

rest assured, there were a shit load of us bjork fans hugging strangers in ecstasy out in the distance once we got over the fact we were destined to see her from afar. we even plotted to attack some security guards but concluded we were to wussy.

was a shame most of us didn’t get to show her our love and feel hers properly tho! you should tell her that -and that she should come back solo!

also, can you post that vid you took on your way out please!
