Right now we are in Blackpool. Apparently this seaside resort is the most popular one in the UK, though when we arrived there yesterday in the late afternoon, the popularity was not very visible.
Blackpool has seen a sizable drop in numbers of visitors in the last fifteen or so years, from 17 million to 10 million. Nowadays many visitors stay for the weekend rather than for longer stretches of time. Maybe we should have been here a few days earlier!
But Belfast was good, in spite of the city’s strange lack of character. It was good because our show there was great fun, and because we got the chance to visit Giants Causeway, a spectacularly beautiful beach. And the coastal ride back to the city was breathtaking.
In fact, I haven’t been so moved by a scenery since I visited the island of Capri many, many moons ago.

I’m glad you had a relaxing time Jónas, your right the Giants Causeway is breath taking, the UK, Ireland, and Scotland have always amazed me with their beauty similar to Iceland in the way that breath taking is created out of moss/grass and stones. Thank you for the link may many more beautiful sights and times be in store.

Agreed.
Belfast is definitely lacking character. Quite depressed and ill-affected. Nothing special or exciting about it at all, and if there is, it’s quite superficial - trying too hard, I find.
Thank you so much for making Monday in Belfast one of the best shows of my life. I only discovered Bjork’s music about 3 months ago, but since then I’ve become utterly, utterly obsessed, and listened avidly to the whole back catalog. I can honestly say that it’s some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life, and I thank you all so, so much for finally bringing it here and completely stunning us.
Really. It was mesmerizing.
Thank you - And we hope to see you again! Soon!
Love.

I’ve only been to Belfast about 3 times myself, I must say it’s not a spectacular city.
I am pleased that you visited The Giants Causeway! I’ve only had the chance to go there once but it’s a truly beautiful place! I think that it’s the best place in the whole of Northern Ireland.
