I read in the newspaper today that Björk will be having a concert in Reykjavík with Sigur Rós on June 28. So I guess it is official. Stay tuned for updates, should be something on www.bjork.com soon.

    It’s about time!

“What have they done to the Earth… our fair sister?
    Ravanged… ripped and bit her.
I hear a very gentle sound… ear down to the ground.
We want the World and we want it… NOW!”
    Jim Morrison, 40 years ago.

Jónas, did you all start creating Volta before, during or after the Sugarcubes reunion?

I can’t make but I hope youtube videos and maybe a DVD will be in plenty for this gig, a true Icelandic music fans dream come true! Give my thanks to Björk and everybody who is making this possible, I hope this can be a catalysts for helping the environment can be born from this.

Iceland being the newest land in the World geologically should inspire a new wave of environmental activism. Conservation and sustainability are emerging industries where tomorrow’s jobs will come from. When there’s nothing left, it will be too late. Do it now. Enact policies. Vote green. Kick the petroleum puppets out.

    hello,

i just saw that you will come back to paris soon ! i was first so happy cause i love that volta tour so much (i saw the show @ rock en seine and watched tons of videos on youtube) but guys … the ‘olympia’ … 2000 people !!! there are so many people out there who wanna see that show ! do you realize how hard it could be for us if cannot get tickets ?

for me the ‘volta tour’ has been deeply important ! i would be very angry if could not go. why did you choose such a small place ?

  10. Bijoruku says:

Wow, it is really cheap to fly to Reykjavik now from Stockholm! But I haven’t seen any sign of a place to buy the tickets… Or will the concert be free?

I am hoping for that I won’t need to fly to another country next time to see you all ;D

    Hi Jónas!
My name is Joshua Wellington and I’m 19 years old and live in Australia.
I was recently filmed for a TV game show called ‘The Einstein Factor’ on which contestants are quizzed on their special subject of expertise. I chose ‘The Life and Music of Björk’. The episode can now be downloaded at http://www.abc.net.au/einsteinfactor/video.
    Thanks very much!
