So how did playing Overture come about? She just decided out of the blue "Let's open with a song I haven't played live in seven years?" The youtube footage really brought back memories of when Dancer was released at the theater in 2000. VH1 covered it for hours that day. I regret not taking a picture of the independent Parkside Theater in Buffalo, whose marquee read, "BJORK in Dancer in the Dark."

vOLta Tour is closed on Aug.15th ?

I thought there would have been other dates until september ... and a special date to finish the tour (like, a night at London's Royal Albert Hall for example)...

The main problem with the venue was not the distance between the front row & stage, but the security and people!

I have never been to a concert where the security were man handling people into sitting down! It was mad! And the Italian people - so tame! This is not what I remember.... what's happened to them?!?!? [something in the water?]

We were 5 rows from the front and continually told to sit down! "What, it's a concert not an opea was our reply".

The worst part came at the end - when 3/4 of the FRONT ROW remained seated during declare independence. With a light clap at the end. Proof that seated concerts don't always work.

I was ashamed of the Italians at the show. Come on, get off your seats & declare your independence! It's okay to enjoy yourselves!!!! "raise your arse, higher higher.... haha"

Best of luck with the rest of the tour - it's been a pleasure & joy to have caught so many shows along the way...

from Glasto '97, via Amsterdam, Sydney Opera House & BDO's, to Iceland, London, Roma & Verona. The Jorney Itself *is* Home. :)

I always think of Agent Cooper for some reason when you write things like, "that sure feels strange."

No more Volta tour! How epic it seems to have been! Sculpture coming....

Lol, "I hate that shit." It seems like forever ago I got my V Festival ticket, in February 2007! Isn't that crazy? This tour has really impacted my life, as does anytime she has played Toronto. This message is for Björk: Sister, I have been going to your shows since 1995/Post tour and listening to you since Traitor on SNL. Keep the music coming lady! Don't ever stop. It's the best thing out there! --a fan for 20 years
