Our final show was yesterday night. It was GREAT. Björk was wonderful and we did our very best. And the audience was splendid. It was a beautiful end to a fabulous adventure.
I started this blog, in April 2007, with a poem by Matsuo Basho:
“The moon and sun are eternal travellers.
Even the years wander on.
A lifetime adrift in a boat,
or in old age leading a tired horse into the years,
every day is a journey,
and the journey itself is home.”
I had planned to end the blog with another poem, but I never found one. The poem by Basho says it all.
The Volta Tour may be over, but new beginnings are in the cards
Today we go home and to other journeys.
Thanks to my companions on the tour. You have been awesome.
Thanks also to all who read the blog. I have enjoyed your presence immensely.
Goodbye everyone! What a journey this has been…

No, once welcomed by the children of the diaspora, you can never go home again. Today’s nomads don’t need a home. With a laptop and hotel room, or friends at which you can stay, you can conduct business, stay in touch, experience life, and embrace horizons. Home is what you hang your hat on.

Thank you Jónas for keeping the Volta tour fresh all the way!
It wouden t have been the same without you and your Blog!
I was lucky enough to be there for the last/Almeria show.
What can i say?
Afer being present in 9 Volta dates: Bjork still manages to surprise me nig time last night. I think this was the best show ever!
The improvising was very much apriciated it, what a night!
During the Tour the versions of you and Bjork i will always remember as speciall:
-Sidasta Eg in Segovia! When you came onstage and started playing the first bit of the song i personally was puzzeled at first (cauz i thouth it woud have been earth intruders) and i inmediatly started meltinhg, i was so moved by this performance (still am). Last night the “Cover me” version was the best, the organ sound together with Bjork scary/funny/trippy interpretation shoud be inmortalized somehow but since this song wasn t played in Paris… i doubt it will “what a shame”
Also “Mother heroic” played in Madrid 2007 i will never ferget it was so gorgeous.
There has been many great moments for me during this tour, thanks for being part of it. Hopefully in years to come Bjork will shorten up the tour dates and make the duration of the concerts longer as we have been used to since previous tours.
All the best to everyone in the Volta team and to the fans who has contribute on this BLog for the entertaining of everyone.
Peace

Much too late as always,
I just wanted to say goodbye, and thanks for the blog Jonas, I think you did a wonderful job. I will try to always wait 30 minutes upon waking up before sharing my dreams in the future. I will leave it there on that, and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was always sad to not see bjork live in the past, and now that I have seen her just once, I am very glad it was this tour. wish I could go back to that night and cherish it a little bit longer, and maybe drink less :P). in all seriousness.. Such wonderful energy!!
Love to all, you rock my bones. Todd Mellon. aka Vahndehrlawst aka gu.
