 Björk is nominated as European Actress at the 2000 European Film Awards!
The gala will be held in and broadcast live from Paris, France on saturday the 2nd of December 2000.
Here are all the nominees of the category EUROPEAN ACTRESS 2000:
BIBIANA BEGLAU in Die Stille Nach Dem Schuss (The Legends of Rita), Germany
BJÖRK in Dancer in the Dark, Denmark/Sweden/France
LENA ENDRE in Trolösa (Faithless), Sweden
SYLVIE TESTUD in La Captive, France
JULIE WALTERS in Billy Elliot, UK

Björk may also be up for the People's Choice award, which could be voted for online from September 1st until 31st October 2000.
A good friend of Björk, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson won it once for the music in 'Children Of Nature' by Fridrik Thor Fridriksson.
Another Icelandic nominee this year is Ingvar Sigurdsson for his role in Englar Alheimsins (Angels of the Universe), which also is among the nominated films.
The third nominations for Iceland goes to 101 Reykjavik, directed by Balthasar Kormakur with music by Einar Örn from the Sugarcubes and Damon Alabarn from Blur. This is in the European Discovery -Fassbinder Award |
